How It Works
You provide us with photographs that represent your community or organization. MOTW creator, artist Doug Arnholter, creates artwork from your photo, enlarges it to 4 x 8 feet and converts it into two identical paint-by-number images for your group to paint.
We adjust the complexity of your paint-by-numbers artwork to fit your group’s size and time allotment. Your canvases come preprinted with a wide outer border so there is no dry time needed for the participants to sign their name when they are finished painting.
Upon completion, one painting is added to the Mural of the World and the other painting will be sent back to you to hang, donate or auction after it is touched up and sealed by professional artists at our studios.
Your Event
Your event is added to this Mural of the World website. When visitors click on your painting, a page opens with a photo slide show and a description of your event including the names of all the people in your group who participated and sponsors logo (if applicable). This creates positive and lasting publicity and a legacy of your event. (Example).

Lead Time
We need 4-6 weeks from the contract/deposit date.
Set-Up
Walk into your event and find friendly facilitators with:
8 - Canvases making two beautiful 4' x 8' paintings
8 - Printouts with each panel showing what they're supposed to look like
10 - Drop cloths
4 - Rolls of painters tape
8 - Rolls of paper towels
4 - Trash cans
1 - Box of trash bags
12 - Cans of paint numbered from 1 to 12
100's - Assorted paint brushes
100 - Plastic cups
1 - Notebook
1 - Camera
1 - Video Camera
If desired - Pens with the Mural of the World logo for your group to keep
If desired - Ball caps for your group to paint and take home
If desired - T-shirts for your group to paint and take home
If desired - Sound system
1 - Wonderful event full of fun and community building for your group
Project Management Services include
• Creating custom artwork based on royalty free digital images obtained by us or provided by you
• One artwork change
• Creating a custom color palette
• Printing to canvas the template
• Stretching the canvases over 5/8" stretcher bars
• Manually correcting the paint by numbers numbering system where it may divide across panels
• Sealing the canvas
• Procuring and providing paints, brushes, drop cloths, paint cups, and pens (for signing)
• Providing pre-print Mural of the World caps and t-shirts, ready for painting with hair dryers for quick, one-minute dry time
• Images of what each panel will look like when complete
• Fine tuning/clean up of the completed canvases at our studio in Indianapolis, IN
• Affixing the group photo of the company "artists" who contributed to the painting
• Final Sealing of the canvases to protect the painting from the elements during public display
Pricing
Pricing includes the team building program, all production, coordination and shipping, all materials listed above to produce two huge 4’ x 8’ paintings, program customization, a professional lead facilitator and staffing. The MOTW philanthropic program varies in price depending upon the program length (1 or 2 days) and location (domestic or international).
Give Back to your Community!
When you purchase a Mural of the World program, you have the opportunity to purchase an additional program (at a reduced price) to donation to your community. This charitable and tax deductable donation can benefit a local school, library, church or other 501c3 organization and will create good will and positive press.
A Special Note to Nonprofit Organizations
